I had a separate discussion in the DNS forum about adding SRV records for Autodiscover but this led me down a rabbit hole.
The summary seems to be Autodiscover is no longer really supported in 2025 and there isn't any way to resolve it despite some proposed standards that are available.
Therefore, it would be good if Direct Admin could make the user setup easier and I have some suggestions.
1) Adjust the mail_settings.html template to specify port 993 for imap and also the fact that TLS should be checked.
2) Add support for a downloadable .mobileconfig and a QR code link to it for mobile users. Plesk have a good implementation of this.
Neither of these really help with Outlook setup though so are there any other tips for making email setup easier in Direct Admin in 2025?
