edit my.cnf

i have been having roble with mysql and i want to linit the amount of conections and i need to get into the my.cnf but i cant find it anywere. anyone know

Have a look in /etc if it is not there, you do not have one. my.cnf is not setup by default. If you do not have one on your server, have a look at this and create on in /etc on your server.

You can use vi, joe or your favorite editor to make the file. Once done, you will need to restart mysql.
