Editing HTML of the primary domain (www.myserver.com)?

Hi,

I have a hostname www1.myserver.com, and I can edit the HTML for that address at /var/www/html. However, I can't figure out how to edit the HTML for www.myserver.com. I can do it for any other domain in /home/admin/domains/domainname.com. Adding the primary domain through the control panel doesn't help. What should I do?

Currently, www.myserver.com times out.

I hope that you have got

www.myserver.com pointed to the same IP as www1.myserver.com

Try pinging www.myserver.com

You really can't easily do custom html for your main domain, because that's where all the defaults have to be.

That's why DirectAdmin tells us to not have our hostname the same as a domain name.
