Hi,

Most of my directadmin servers are not able to receive emails from trusted accounts like gmail, hotmail, etc.

When users try to send emails they get 'mail delivery failed' message. I checked the reject log and mail log of exim and found the following.

Email blocked by SORBS - to unblock see http://www.example.com/

I have manually edited the exim.conf and removed the 'SORBS' from ACL lists.

The issue persists in about 30 DA servers.

Any ideas? or any other suggestions to fix this?

Regards,
Ajo

Then I guess you didnt really remove the acl then.

I have removed the ACLs and those server's mails work fine. but why this specified acl blocks all incoming mails.

You can ask Michelle why she insists on blocking emails from the major companies. Maybe she's getting too many hits and wants us to stop using Sorbs?

Anyway, our new SpamBlocker file doesn't use SORBS, and I recommend you don't use SORBS.

Yep GMAIL last week, and HOTMAIL and MSN today. I've commented out SORBS, and sounds like I need Jeff's latest SMAMBLOCER exim.conf, or has nothing else changed other than SORBS Jeff?

Lots of changes. New blocklists, new features. It's the culmination of more than three years of hard work.

Okidoki, will switch over. In the past I have uncommented out all of the block lists, I assume this is the preferred method, I mean, you wouldn't put them there if you didn't like them I assume? Eg: SORBS is gone?

Sorbs is not in the new file. Blocklists come and go, and even if they're good, they may not be good for you.

So you may need to manage blocklists yourself. Read the Readme file for the new version; there's lots of information there.
