email can't be sent

many many email problem

when try login to squirrelmail, i got this:

Warning: fsockopen(): unable to connect to localhost:143 in /var/www/html/squirrelmail-1.4.2/functions/imap_general.php on line 454

meanwhile i can login to neo mail, but unable to send emails.

SMTP Error: Invalid username/password

also i can use outlook to recieve email, but can't send email as well.

how to do troubleshooting? thanks.

Any one has a solution to this problem? tested everything on this forum and the problem is still the same.

It look as if imap isn't running.
