Email Error: 550 "Unknown User"

I'm using Exim 4.62. Last 2 days I begin to face this problem. All emails sent to @yahoo* domain were rejected. The error is given like below:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

'[email protected]' on 6/6/2006 6:17 PM
550 "Unknown User"

Can someone tell me how to overcome this problem? require verify is already commented out in exim.conf and I'm still facing this error.

If yahoo is telling you that known good users aren't users, then you'd have to bring up the issue with the yahoo postmaster.

Hi there,

did you get that rejection message from the server where the mail account resides? I get a rejection message for one domain (out of the blue - worked 2 days ago and now it is refused) on my own mailserver.

I run Exim 4.6.2 and I find the following line in my exim/rejectlog:

2006-07-29 18:00:02 H=bla.domain.nl (name) [x.x.x.x] F=<[email protected]> rejected RCPT <[email protected]>:

I changed the acutal names. The rejecteddomain.nl is not hosted on my server and I could send emails there fine until yesterday. This is the only domain that I noticed this behaviour with!

I did not run any updates or make any changes yesterday.

So 2 questions - How can exim suddenly reject names and secondly where can I find the list of domains that is does reject, so I can edit it?
