Hi all,
I've added an email forwarder to a Gmail account but it doesn't work.
Does it take a while to become effective? I've tried other (non gmail) accounts as well but without result.
Do I miss a configuration setting?

forwarding mails must work instant
I am afraid there is an problem with your config

I guess..... I'm using everything out of the box. Don't even know where to start.
The manual just explains how to add a forwarder. Which I did.
Any idea where I have to look?

You have to look at the logfiles as for whats going on, it might be Gmail refuses the mail silently.
If you're a customer, ask your hosting company. Because this is mainly a admin and reseller support forum who bought Directadmin.

Or Google could be sending it to spam.

Thanks for all your comments.
I'm trying to forward email from my own domain to Gmail as this is my default.
I've checked and it's not in spam.

I am indeed a customer and thought already this is way to technical for me :)
Maybe best to contact my hosting company.

Do you pay DirectAdmin for the license or does your hosting company?

My hosting company does.
I reported the issue to them and they said they 'pushed' the system.....
Now it works.

Then you are not a DirectAdmin customer but your hosting company is.

But I would like to comment on forwarding. Forwarding is bad. When your domain email gets spammed and gets forwarded to gmail then Google will hold your domain server responsible and end up blocking your domain server. Its better to keep the email on your domain server and let gmail retrieve it from there.

Hi Floyd,
Thanks for the heads up. Sounds like a good plan to do it the other way round then. Will do.
Thanks
