Email Forwarding does not work

Hello,

I'm having difficulties with the email forwarding option. I've setup my own dedicated server with CentOS release 6.2. Everything installed and works properly.

Currently I have two separate domain names linked to two users I've created. For both users regular email (and webmail / outlook to read it) works properly. Both sending and retrieving email gives no errors and works instantly.

When I setup a forwarder though, it fails to work. I try to forward to an @gmail.com adress, but without any success or errors. When I try to forward to another address, such as a temporary mail service like guerrillamail.com, I get a delivery error which states the following error;
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

[email protected]
(ultimately generated from [email protected])
SMTP error from remote mail server after end of data:
host direct-connect.guerrillamail.com [184.154.136.50]:
554 Transaction failed

Does anyone know where this is currently going wrong? I don't have SpamAssassin setup at the moment and I'm clueless. I've tried several solutions suggested in other topics but none of them worked.

If any additional information is required, please let me know.

As an addition to this: catch-all email as forwarder doesn't work either. Vacation messages DO work.

Have you researched your exim mainlog? I or others can fix this for you as a commercial service. If interested, please feel free to email me; address below in my siglines.

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

I've contacted you per email regarding your post.

Meanwhile, if anyone has a possible solution or needs additional information to fix this issue I'd be happy to add that to this topic.

Jeff provided a solution for my issue by performing some work on my server. He's given me a detailed report of what he did and was very clear in his communications. With a few things remaining to be unclear he decided to get in touch with my per phone, which resolved all the remaining questions I had pretty much instantly.

I'm very happy with his services and would recommend it to anyone who may need help setting up his server. Thanks Jeff!
