Email FROM line contains server name

When I am sending emails from my Wordpress website, the FROM line (visible in the receivers Outlook header) looks like:

[email protected] on behalf of The Sender <[email protected]>

(on behalf of is translated from my Dutch language).

How can I get rid of the first part of this line, as I do not want to show this to the recipients.

Use SMTP to send emails.

isnt there some flag you can set on the sendmail binary in php.ini to fix that.

Yeah but is insecure. Also, from my expirience, if you got many domains on your server and doenst set SMTP and one of those get hacked you cannot easly identify the real "reposnsable" cause all will come out with fake address.
