Hello,

I've setup a reseller on my DA server and I'm trying to find were to customize the emails that are sent out when a new account is created. Could someone please tell me where these are, I cannot find them anywhere.

When you create a reseller just before you click submit look for the check box for "Send Email Notification" Right next to the checkbox is a link for "Edit Reseller Message" Click that link.

The same is true for creating users.

Thank you for posting back to me. However... I'm using billing software which is creating the account via DA's API.

I would like to turn off DA's notification all together and just use the notification that is sent with the billing software. There is just too many emails sent for people that don't know anything about websites.

Is there a way that I can either turn off the notification by default OR at the very least, change the contents of the notification to something like "This is a system message... Please delete it."?

Thanks.

Well that is not what you asked in your first post.

You will need to get the billing software to change the way it uses the API.

I already answered that.

I already answered that.

Thanks Flyod. You already did answer that asuming that I was creating the user in DA. There has got to be a default template file somewhere that this message is saved in isn't there? I can't imagine that it is hard-coded into DA.

And when you click the link "Edit Reseller Message" you are NOT editing just for the user. You are editing the template.

This forum has many posts related to this.

Thanks again. That is what I needed.

FYI... I searched for about 2 hours on this before I posted, I must have been using the wrong terms "email notification" and "notification" are the main terms I used. I didn't know it was called User Message.

Can I suggest that Direct Admin add a link to the main control panel page "Edit User/Email Notifications". This should avoid confusion in the future. That way the option is there when you are not creating a user.

That's great except I used the DA forums, not google. I figured it would be better and thought that if I'm not getting it on DA's forums that I wouldn't get it on Google.

I've solved my problem, but you said there were multiple issues on the forums about this and I was just providing a suggestion that might make it easier for people in the future. It makes no difference to me if DA does it or not now.

Thank you for your help! I do appreciate it.

As has been mentioned recently on this forum Google's search algorithm is much better than any forum's.

You can search any site using Google as long as Google has indexed it. Google picks up new posts in this forum in a matter of hours.

I understand your suggestion but you have to realize that if a link was posted for everything somebody wanted to do in DA then we would have a page full of links. Its hard to do that and yet stay organized.
