Hi,

I haven't used email piping in DA jet. just asking does anyone have clue which method works at the moment and is there plans for simplifying the process?

Thanks in advance.

How do you mean simplify? It's not that difficult.
Osticket example, create an email forward for example for [email protected] and add it like this:
Code:
"|/usr/local/bin/php -q /home/username/domains/yourcompany.com/public_html/osticket/api/pipe.php"
unless you mean something else, but then an example might help so somebody can help you.

Hey Richard,

Thanks for the input :)

I'm talking about the user experience.
Users don't understand how to do it, they have to search this subject from documentation which is years old and its actually only a forum post what i searched and found myself.

Users must visually understand in a second where to add the pipe path to file in the input field like cPanel or any other panel actually has implemented.

Would be great if that feature would prevent support tickets with that subject.

Thanks!

Might be a good idea. But if you want to make life easier for your users by changing how this is done, it might be best to put in a feature request for this in the appropriate section, or ask smtalk or another moderator to move this thread to the feature request section.
+1 from my anyway

If you have a specific request (way on how to improve it) - please let us know :)

For example:

Add dedicated input field into email forwarders page where you can paste the pipe filepath.

Something like this:

add_forwarder.jpg

So, you can take a note from this example and i hope it's not that difficult to implement.

Thanks in advance.
