Hi

can you give some more information about what domain (hostname) you are using and cannot send from or to ..
this way we might have a better idea of the problem causing this ..

You're not seeing anything in your logs because the message is never getting to your server.

This line:
<[email protected]>:
Sorry, I couldn't find a mail exchanger or IP address
means that the sending server tried to find an MX or A record for "leks.us" and did not find one. Therefore, it bounced the message as undeliverable and the message never left the server.

You'll need to have the sender (or ideally someone with access to mail.mhm.lv) troubleshoot why the leks.us domain is not resolving. It's resolving fine for me.
Code:
ballyn@metis ~ $ nslookup
> set type=mx
> leks.us

Non-authoritative answer:
leks.us mail exchanger = 10 mail.leks.us.

> set type=any
> mail.leks.us

Non-authoritative answer:
Name: mail.leks.us
Address: 213.21.215.174

Same thing happened to me, it's fixed.

Hi
Same exact thing happened to me today. I'm not exactly sure if this might help, but perhaps if I tell you how I fixed mine, then maybe you can fix yours.

The company I bought my domain from does not provide email with the domain, however the hosting company does.

When I registered with the hosting company they sent an email (which I failed to read thoroughly) in which it said to change the DNS settings with the domain company. I did, after which I waited about 2 hours or so for the domain company to update.

Thats it, things work.

If that doesnt help, and you're using outlook, then maybe it could be the settings?

I've got a cold and generally feeling crappy today, but this line stuck out:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mhm.lv.

Are you using Qmail with DA?

Feel free to ignore me, it could be the NyQuil talking :)

Probably the NyQuil, Joe; qmail was the sending server; or at least it appears that way from the error message.

Jeff
