What is the best configuration for mail server, exim, dovecot to work well?

What exactly do you want to know?

Best way is to use exim, exim_conf (spamblocker 4.x newest), combined with spamassassin, blockcracking and easy spamfighter.
Ofcourse with Dovecot. It can all be installed from Custombuild 2.0. Only Spamassassin might need some extra pre-installed files.

If you mean something else you have to be more clear.

I wonder if there is any extra configuration to work well, or if only the default installation already works.

VERY vague?

ANY could be any but i'm Dutch.

MANUALS, the readme's the help and other docs are all there to have it customized if that is what you mean!

"THE BEST" is also very vague . tons of different situations / clients / versions / os and so on

I wonder if there is any extra configuration to work well, or if only the default installation already works.

I don't use RSPAM yet, so I don't know if that will also work with blockcracking, maybe not.
But if you use the things I mentioned, then these should work already very nice out of the box, almost no manual changes needed anymore.
