email strange

Hi

I noticed that i don't require to authenticate if i mail with my own mailserver on DA from my home ip.
I tried outlook on 4 defferent machines all with newly installes outlook NO passwords entered and i mailed and it is actually deliverd.

If i try it from other ip's from my friends of other location it says 505 authorization required or socket error.

Why can i mail without a password from my own home ip?

Already solved it, /etc/virtual/pophosts records valid logged-in ip's.
Still have no clue how my ip is put in there in the first place but im glad it was so simpel.
