Emails are sent from alias domain

Hi guys, i have a domain2.com as main domain on my server and domain.com as alias (pointer) of domain2.com

When i create a mail [email protected] and send a email test i recieve the email normally, but i noted that a kind of copy of [email protected] is created with [email protected]
If i check my /home/admin/imap folder i see this:
drwxrwx---. 4 admin mail 4.0K Nov 8 2022 domain2.com
lrwxrwxrwx. 1 admin mail 10 Dec 20 2022 domain.com -> domain2.com

So, [email protected] and [email protected] uses the same inbox are the same account?, it's like email alias?

It's kind of an email alias yes.
When people send mail to my [email protected] then I also receive this mail in my [email protected] domain.
Only header is slightly different because it's send to the domain.com domain.

If you don't want that, you might want to try to create the pointer and de-select the "create as an alias" option.
