Hi Dear directadmin community

Yesterday i installed a new VPS server with latest centos7 and directadmin and configured reverse DNS & SPF
im able to send emails with roundcube and imap configuration works great when i tested it with any domain
My question is, is dovecot automatically configured to send emails in directadmin? and is this is a proper mail server or mail service?
As well do i need to install postfix with it?

Please advice,

Thanks

Directadmin comes with Exim and Dovecot. Exim is your mailserver, Dovecot takes care of the imap and pop3 connections for you. Dovecot is automatically configured correctly. This combination is a very good mail service and mail server.
You don't need to install postfix because you already have Exim if everything is alright.

However I would have a look at the spamblocker exim.conf files which can do a lot of good to improve your mailsystem.
