Hi,

Another 'weird' problem.

I have noticed for a while that some emails that i know were supposed to be in my mailbox, dont appear to be downloaded when outlook collects the mail using pop3.

I have recently managed to pin it down a little.
If i use webmail to view a couple of emails that are waiting in my mailbox and then get outlook to check for new messages; outlook downloads the messages as usual but the ones that were viewed from the webmail do not appear.

Outlook then deletes the mail from the server as usual but it also deletes the messages that i viewed that it didnt bother to download.

The really annoying part about this is that the messages that i viewed while away from the office are usually the messages that i actually want!

Any ideas anyone?

Hello,

Hmm... I'm wondering if they're being deleted by webmail... or else there are weird headers that outlook can't handle, but webmail can.. which version of vm-pop3d are you using?

Hi John,

I try not to tamper with anything unless i really have to so it should be the version that DA shipped with. (hopefully)

The current version is vm-Pop3d 1.1.7e according to the DA sysinfo page.

If i dont pick them up with outlook and go back later with webmail, they are still there so i assume its when outlook is picking them up that they take a walk.

Regards,

- James
