enforce difficult password

Say we enforce this, and the user clicks the random button, does it take into account the /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/difficult_password.php's settings we set?

No, I've set the passwd- length in ( /usr/local/directadmin/scripts/difficult_password.php) to 12 but if I log into a user account and create a password for e.g. an email account click on the random - button DA create a 8 char password.. :-(

Yes I know, but I want to avoid to choose a password like "test99",

hey, that must be possible !? For what is "enforce_difficult_passwords=1" ?
It's just a dummy parameter?

I don't understand your point. The DirectAdmin algorithm doesn't ever create simple passwords such as test99, and user-set passwords are subject to the enforcement.

Did you restart DirectAdmin after you changed it's configuration? You must do that.

A new Problem I've change PW-length to 12 , switched on difficult_passwords in the directadmin.conf, restarted DA, but no reaction, its also possible to set a 1 char length password,
its absolutely strange... (DA Version 1.39.1 on Cent OS 5.7)
