I see the latest release for DA now allows TXT entries into the DNS and created SPF entries for all my domains.

I need to add a custom SPF entry of:

v=spf1 mx include:cust-senderid.domain-name-here.com –all

because a third party is sending out an opt-in e-newsletter for one of my clients.

I go to manage the DNS for a domain, then on the TXT row:

1) I enter "domain.com." into the left column (Add Domain Records column)

2) then I enter my text string of the "v=spf1..." in the right column

3) then I click "add"

4) then I get the following error:

**************************************
Cannot Add Record

Details

You must provide a valid name and value

**************************************

I have tried entering the spf record with and without quotation marks, I have even tried removing the existing spf TXT record that DA added and then adding the exact same back in or this new record I need and get the same error. Seems I cannot even duplicate what DA already had in there.

I must be overlooking something simple... please help??... I have a few clients that use third party e-newsletters and I need to add these into all their records.

I was able to copy and paste exactly your entries, even literally using "domain.com." instead of a domain actually in use here, and Directadmin dutifully created the TXT record. It even used an ampersand followed by "#8211;all" in place of"~all", because that is what resulted from my copy-and-paste. Your TXT record was quite long and appeared as truncated on the Directadmin screen, but the whole thing was in the DNS zone file.

Are you really using a ~ character, or did you accidentally use some non-ASCII character in its place?
