I just went though hell moving one of my sites from under the ADMIN account out on its own.
I have 20 domains sitting under USER ADMIN.
I needed to backup and restore only one of those domains from under the Admin account and place it out there on its own domain and ip.
I did a backup of what i thought was THAT DOMAIN ONLY. Then i went to restore it. What a mess!!!
After i finally got the domain to restore by renaming backup-Sep-4-2010-1.tar.gz to domain.tar.gz then doing a restore i found;
1) That it restored the domain but it also restored all the domains under the admin account and placed them into /home/newsite/domains/*.
No wonder the backup took forever.
There is really flawed logic here.
First off, why cant you assign an ip for any domain under the admin account? If you could, you wouldnt have to do all of the above.
Why cant you just backup one domain instead of DA backing up everything?
Terrible.
