ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server

As the topic says, i get an error when i try and check my email in squirrelmail.

ERROR: Connection dropped by IMAP server.
Query: CAPABILITY

when i try and send a email to one of the addresses on that box, the email returns with this error:

Remote host said: 550 <email@address>: invalid address Giving up on123.123.123.123

I am using dovecot and firewall is off.

#ldconfig seems to have solved the problem.
