Hello,

I created a mysql database and user "itemcms_cms", then I deleted the database.

I then restored an old backup that had the same database name and user, and I see that the database was created (but small size 300k), and number of Users was 0.

So i clicked on the database and tried to create a user "itemcms_cms" and got the error message. I checked ssh and did not see any database created in the mysql directory.

I deleted it again and tried to create the database from scratch, with the same database name and user "itemcms_cms" and got the error message still.

how do i delete the user and recreate it without getting the error message?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

the easiest and safe way :
Login phpMyAdmin as da_admin, then drop the user in "Privileges" section

fastest way,
RUn this SQL:
DROP USER 'itemcms_cms'@'localhost';
FLUSH PRIVILEGES ;

I wish one or the other would work for me. I'm running MySQL 5 and their is no "Privileges" section. I don't see a privileges section. There are two dbs that show, database and schema. None of the other db's show. I'm logged in root and MySQL root.
