Error Creating Reseller

I have this error when creating a reseller , anyone can help

Error creating user: useradd: unable to lock password file
Cannot find a home directory after the system user creation for abcdffg
The home directory for abcdffg was not created.

Do you get the same error when trying to the user using the adduser command from the command line?
