Error establishing a database connection error after Wordpress installation

Hi! I have used "Site builder" to create test website and it worked fine. I just desided to rebuild the website on Wordpress. Then I have installed Wordpress using "Control Panel" and my website doesn't work, shows me the "Error establishing a database connection" message. During the installation I was promted to rewrite 2 files, "htaccess.htm" and "index.php" so I did.
How can I get the Wordpress working instead "site.pro" I used before from "Control Panel"?

You have to ask your host for support. This forum is only for Directadmin license holders, so admins.

To help you still a bit, I wonder who or what said to change the index.php file. You should not change the Wordpress index.php file so put the original file back.
Problem is the database connection. Most likely the credentials from the database and your installation are different. Doublecheck your wp-config.php file that it contains the correct database credentials.

As for more support, as said, please contact your host.
