On creating an account in Outlook connected to my email address Outlook generates an error. It seems to connect to the incoming mail server, but sending a test email fails due to "cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server".
Please provide the advanced settings required.

In that case you can best contact your hosting provider or create a new email account from the control panel. Normally after creating the account you can see the accurate settings for your email client.

Not happy

Sorry Richard, the hosting provider keeps him unreachable. Refers to this ****ty forum only. As to now he has not come up with any solution. Your suggestion does not solve the problem. I have four e-mail address that all show the same problem.I am not happy.

Some INternet providers blocking outgoing smtp that is not theirs.

If that is for sure not the case then you can go to your Hosting prodvider.
If it is blocking then your Hosting provider only can try to help you maybe allowing smtp on different ports to , but that is again extra work for you hosting provider and not common.

So test your outlook from also other connections ( internetproviders) and ask you internetprovider or they are blocking other outgoing smtp!

If so this have nothing to do with DA.

Maybe a howto for DA HOSTER howto config allow the mx smtp send from internetprovider.

You yourself should have get a outgoing smtp account form your internetprovider you can test or mail is going out with that, should do

You make a mistake here. This is not a ****ty forum, but you've got a ****ty hosting provider!
A bit of decent provider can help you.

Try mail.yourdomain.com (fill in your own domain name) for outgoing mail. If that does not help, try the same but then using port 465, do not use encryption for the password. Do enable authentication.
If that does not work, as ikkeben said, use the smtp of your own ISP.

But again, this is normally no forum for customers of hosting providers using DA. Hosting providers should support customers theirselves, unless it's a big problem they don't know. If I were you, I would change hosting provider to a better one.

Hosting providers should not block 25 port (and most likely they do not block 25 port), unless they use a separate SMTP server... if they would block 25 port it would mean no email would ever arrive to their servers, as TCP:25 is used to transfer emails between different servers.

So if you can not connect to 25 port then try to connect to 587 port, as it's most likely that your ISP is blocking connections to 25 port.
