error opening website

Hi!
I have just uploaded my website and get an error 404 when i want to open it.

I know it has something to do with uploading the content at the wrong place but i'm sure i placed the content in the right map.
"mysite.gethost.nl/public_html/index.html"

Can anyone tell me what i did wrong?

Presuming you're hosting on a system using DirectAdmin, then the error we get when visiting your site shows there's no index.html file.

Most likely your public_html directory isn't the right place to upload your site; I suggest you check with your hosting company.
