Hello!
After I installed DA, I logged in to panel to set up my domain. It took a long time loading and then I got this error:
Either your request was invalid or the program hasn't completed your request.
Please notify the server admin
However I see the domain got added and yet, when I open DNS management on the user level, I get this message
"Error Reading db file"
So I believe there is a real issue. What can I do to fix it?

Update: The problem was that I forgot to point my host name to the ip address of the server. Once I did that, the problem was solved.

Hello,

I have a similar problem with a fresh install today.

My hostname points to the IP address. Could you detail how you have solved it?

Thanks!

I suggest you rebuild apache and the php handler you are using. I also think you should rebuild php and do all the basic configs. And be sure to do that through the terminal because if you do it through the DA panel, it won't work for some reason. For example I tried to build ioncube using DA but it did not work. So i had to do it using the command line.

Thanks!

I did so but it is not solved. I even installed DA completely.

When I create a new domain it returns this error:

Timeout (timeout=60) from host : last flagged: Email::create(ttetee.com) : admin : getlock(./data/users/admin/user.conf, 'ConfigFile::readFile') : finished

And it fails to generate the DNS zone.

I think I know what your problem is. Just increase the timeout to 90. This might be a temporary solution but it will ,very likely, work

Thanks, now domains are created.

But something is wrong, any task related to DNS zones operations takes too long.

Yeah, I believe it's a tiny issue, but since my websites work just fine, I don't think it's worth time to look into it.
I have a suggestion though. When I contacted DA support yesterday, here is what they said:
Could you open a ticket at http://tickets.directadmin.com -- you should be able to do it without selecting a license. We will accept any bug report, even if it is a license without support, but please provide full information so we can determine how to proceed
So if you really want to fix it, you can contact them there. ANd I will apprecitate it if you post an update here after you find the issue so that everyone benefits ^_^

Clearly the problem was in the ipv6 configuration.

It seems that since version 1.62.0, ipv6 is enabled by default.

If not use IPV6, disabling it (ipv6=0) solve all the timeout problems related to operations with DNS zones.
