Error While Downloading Files From DA File Manager

Hello,

1. You can not use Download Manager, unless it supports authorization and can login into directadmin before downloading.

2. Do not click on a file link to download it, but... do a Right-Click with your mouse and choose "Save as..." or anything similar to that. It seems that your browser does not recognize mime type of the file which you want to download and open it in the window. By the way is it Opera browser?

i am not very sure why download manager is not supported, i am using IDM, and till now it has supported every site, including youtube and almost everything, so i see no reason why it should not support. Infact it opens file to download, but when i click start download it gives error.

That file ( scrumbbled letters ), is caused when i tried to download file and it happens in both Chrome ( latest version ) and Mozilla ( latest ).

You can not access any file in Directadmin File Manager without authorization, if you logged into directadmin in a browser and copied a link, you won't be able to use it in your download manager, because as soon as you try to access it with IDM directadmin will block the attempt, as IDM does not have a valid authorized session with directadmin. So if you want to download it with IDM you should go through authorization process (I really don't know whether it is possible to do with the download manager or not).

IDM supports it.

If suppose we are in cPanel and we try to download anything from say hosting, than IDM will either directly download the file, or will ask for the credentials, if credentials are correct it will start downloading of files.

Although, it works fine in cPanel, Kloxo etc :(

PS :

When i try to download via " Save Link As " it downloads the file and completes in just one second and than resultant file size is 0kb.

M using Chrome latest version.

Are you saying this is without your download manager, but just using Save Link As without a Download Manager? If so, then the problem is somewhere else.

Jeff
