I'm not using the bundled sq from da but using nutsmail.com's bundle.

I have the ability to upload 30mb of attachment and send it without any problems but ever since I've been using nutsmail.com bundle, I get two issues:

1) sending an attachment 23mb in size I get this:

Requested mail action aborted: exceeding storage allocation
Server replied: 552 Message size exceeds maximum permitted

so I searched and increased the message_size_limit = 30M in exim and restarted without any problems.

2) I can successfully send attachments 10-13mb in size without having errors from #1 but the problem comes when I try to forward my sent messaged with the 10-13mb attachment, I get this error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 31457280 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 18707696 bytes) in /var/www/html/squirrelmail-1.4.9a/functions/imap_general.php on line 123

Can anyone help with this please!

Raise your max memory size for php in php.ini to be able to send that. Probably need to raise it about 20 megs if not more.

itwanabe,

I'm seriously considering converting to Nutsmail.

Overall, do you like it?

Do your clients like it?

Jeff

jlasman, they absolutely love it! I get "this is better than hotmail" lol.

As for nutsmail.com them selves, they are not very supportive. I paid 34bucks
to have them install it for me but they were a week too late because I had already installed it. I didn't even bother getting the install fee refunded because they don't reply to support tickets ( i had to sign up for an account for support- to no avail). If you want a test run, let me know- i'll make a login for you to play around with to see for yourself!

As far as my errors goes....

I have made changes to exim to 30mb already and still get this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 31457280 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 18707697 bytes) in /var/www/html/squirrelmail-1.4.9a/functions/imap_general.php on line 123

when I try to forward a message that contains an attachment 17mb in size. I can forward/send messages under 10mb just fine. anyone?

Thanks. I'd appreciate a test account; please email the info to my address below.

I'll bring the thread to DA attention in case they make changes to squirrelmail that need to be made to nutsmail.

Mildly resolved the issues. I'm happy!

To the two I made accounts for, I hoped you guys liked it.

Another thought is that I had made the [compose window] pain larger than normal

desktop SHOT

I hate composing email with such a small [compose pane]

Yes, thanks, itwanabe. You may delete my account.

Did you ever resolve the issue (discussed in another thread) with nutsmail assigning the correct return address for a system account?

Thanks.

Jeff

Not a problem at all! No, I don't think I had that issue. I think what you were referring to was the fact that I had issues installing nutsmail and or the e-mail password hack but everything seems to be quite peachy this very moment!

As far the filemanager that I spoke with you via email, I don't give that option to all users because like you said; it's a security issue. The reason I mentioned it was because I had the original plugin hacked to bits to allow multiple attachments at once and multiple uploads (reasonable). It made life a little easier and more bearable when you needed to send that particular file more than once on different occasions. Plus, you could save all of your attachments you received on your partitioned spaced. Cheers

I'm referring to a problem others have reported wherein if you log in to nutsmail with a systems account (not a virtual email account) it uses the return address [email protected], using the hostname of the server instead of the domain name of the user.

I posted in that thread that I was hoping someone who uses/owns NutsMail would ask them to include the code in their version.

Another thing I forgot to mention is that I don't think it's possible to use nutsmail without their sm bundle. All I purchased was the themes but the themes themselves, were not provided but they were bundled with the whole sm tar. If you wanted support for it (which I assume, you don't because you know the in/outs of DA and most likely, sm itself) you won't be able to get it. I have three tickets created on their system and none has been answered (two weeks or was it three now?)

If you could, give me the url to that thread? I'll have to read up on it because I don't recall seeing it.

There is no support with nutsmail. They have not answered any of my support tickets.

Thank goodness i'm not the only one! I'm irritated with them actually. If only we can use just the templates instead of using their whole sm tarball.

I like the interface of NutsMail, but unless they are going to support the product I'm not going to buy it for my server. So, you can remove my test account too. If they would sell just the template, I'd probably pay for that. :)

Well, i should of got'n the message when i emailed them prior to buying, and at that time, they didn't bother with my sales inquiries either. Should of thought twice before buying!

good idea, jlasman. I would have gladly paid twice the amount I paid for the bundle I purchased in retrospect. If someone can make new skins just as an add-on (without needing the sm bundle to work with your skins you've made), I think they would be very successful! Well, at least they'll have my business for sure!

I made some themes that got incorporated into the core SM install, as of 1.4.9a. I'm not sure what it would take to make a skin though aside from a talent for creating graphics. :)
