Hello

after updating DA to 1.63.6 we don't see the License Panel correctly.

If we use Enhaced skin, it shows:
{"error":"An Error has occurred","result":"Unable to respond with HTML","extended":false}

Other skins:
/bin/sh: -c: error...

Do you know why?

Regards.

May you PM me access details or create a ticket (even if license has no support)? Thank you!

Try updating to the latest version of DA.
Ended up needing to do so via ssh. After updating via ssh, I have the Licensing/Updates page back, but two new problems arose. #1, after update via ssh, Root password no longer works. #2, cannot update via control panel. I can log into ssh via admin, but not root. I'm thinking possibly root password corrupted during the update??? If that is the case, since it appears DA needs root to update, that would explain why it cannot update via control panel. Ideas?

Same problem here, updated upto DA 1.63.8, stil seeing;

{"error":"Er is een fout opgetreden","result":"Unable to respond with HTML","extended":false}

Changing skins does not change this behaviour for me.

Are you sure you receive this in both Evolution and Enhanced?

Sorry for replying this late, i forgot about the issue, but it's still present.

Yes, changing skin doesnt make any difference.

I believe I have the same issue with two of my four DA VPS.
All four VPS are on CentOS 7., but only two got updated correctly to 1.63.8 with the license page working.

The two problematic VPS are still on 1.63.7 with a broken license page.
I've been trying to update these two VPS for several weeks now.

But when I do update them to 1.63.8, DA just keeps refreshing the Evolution skin. The legacy skins seem to work though.
Even if I reset the skins customizations for every user, Evolution keeps refreshing.

I've tried all update-channels, but only 1.63.7 is working properly, minus the license page.
So I have a hunch this is what is causing the problems 1.63.8.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Just to verify you have the same issue as i do, described more in detail in this thread..

What does debuglog say when you access the CMD_LICENSE page?

When directly going to the URL https://server:2222/CMD_LICENSE I get a white page saying "Unauthorized".
When using the DirectAdmin Evolution skin and clicking the "Licensing / Updates" page it just refreshes with "/?redirect=yes"...

Debuglog doesn't seem to show anything useful:

I've asked my VPS provider (TransIP) for help, but they cannot seem to find the problem either....

This exact issue happened to me. In my case I discovered that in /usr/local/directadmin/data/users/admin/user.conf there was a line reading "login_keys=On" however it MUST either be "ON" or "1". Editing the value to the correct setting instantly resolved the problem.

The reason I discovered the solution in the first place was because when running custombuild it started off with an error:
"fatal failed to obtain root login key error=failed to load user config: field login_keys: unexpeced value: On username=admin"

It's likely that your issue is caused by some value/setting in admin/user.conf not being parsed correctly, even if its not the login_keys value.
