After Ftp stopped working, I checked the DA forums and found the suggested fix - which was to remove the Ftp vhost entry for serverIP from /etc/proftpd.vhosts.conf

First question is - how did that entry come into that file 6 months after the server was deployed and running fine.

Secondly, the file /etc/proftpd.vhosts.conf is periodically getting that wrong entry again - which is very odd. It seems as if DirectAdmin is adding that entry periodically.

So, we have to fix that file everytime DA changes it - this is frustating and I don't understand how this can be happening. Any clues ?

Hello,

Which IP is being added? The server IP, a shared reseller IP or an owned IP? (Whats your server IP, what IP is being added, and was is the path to the password file?) What is "wrong" about it? is it breaking something?

John
