Exclude tables from backup

Hello,

Can we exclude tables from mysql backup for certain user by exact name/template like we exclude paths from file backup?
for example exclude cache/log tables
can DA-tech add such feature for mysql-backup like this?: https://www.directadmin.com/features.php?id=1737

Maybe better idea to put that in de feedback forum.
Seems a good idea as cache tables of some applications can grow very big and will be rebuild anyway if they are empty, so no need to backup.
That is what you mean, right?

You can use the --ignore-table option

This would be like

mysqldump -u root -p DB_NAME --ignore-table=DB_NAME.table1 --ignore-table=DB_NAME.table3 > database.sql
