Dear guy,

Yesterday i have upgrade exim from 4.50 to 4.62.
We are using (also all customers) for in/outcoming mail: mail.domain.xx (.com)

I can revice emails but i cant send them. I get messega it not aloowd make contact with your server administrator.

I find a solutions; just use your provider smtp. It work but, i cant tell this to al my customers. And change them.. There must be a reason why, server smtp not working.

Anyone any idea why, mail.domain.xx as smtp not working?

Every help is welcome!

It's not our server administrator, we don't care if you send emails or not.

If your server is receiving emails it's probably running :) .

If you can't send emails the first thing to check is that you've got working nameservers listed in /etc/resolv.conf.

Dear Sir,

I was just asking some help, i think this tis the support and form where people share thier problems and find solutions..

I have found the reolc.conf

nameserver 85.92.134.6
nameserver 85.92.134.9
nameserver 85.92.134.151

Thats it..

Do you see the problem ?

All that will tell us is that those are the name servers your host is using for resolving domains. What email client are you using, what exactly does it say when the sending fails, what do your log files say. All this will help in trying to figure out what your real problem is. For all we know your users could be trying to send email, but their ISP blocks port 25 and that is why you are receiving errors. Have you tried using dnsreport.com to see if you have any errors?

I have standaard installation or Fedora and DA

I get this:
De volgende geadresseerde(n) zijn niet bereikt:

'a xxxxop 22-6-2006 19:34
554 <[email protected]>: Relay access denied

How can i use dnsreport.com?

DNSreport.com says: Getting MX record for powerdomein.nl (from local DNS server, may be cached)... Got it!

It could be that your mail host does not have a reverse DNS entry. A lot of email servers will reject email if they don't have a reverse DNS entry.

Well if it was working before the update then my first question would be did you use a generic install of Exim or the DirectAdmin specific one for your OS?

If you do not know if it was working before then I would first check to see if your ISP is blocking port 25 by changing to port 587 in your email client. Exim I think should be automatically setup to listen to 587 but I am no Exim expert.
