Exim custom variables feature

There can be several reasons (and it is more easy when updating) to leave eximconf=yes in options.conf (custombuild).

But I always add these three lines to the log_selector:
Code:
  +address_rewrite \
  +all_parents \
  +connection_reject \

Now some variables can be changed by using the exim.variables.conf.custom file which adjusts the exim.variables.conf.

It would be a nice feature to have an option or system to also make other variables like stated above, so you don't have to manually adjust exim.conf after an update of the .conf file.

I just lost my previous exim.conf with the recent Exim update. I know I had tweaked a few things over time in exim.conf (2.1), but can't really remember what anymore. I should've set eximconf to NO in CB, but didn't.
Started noticing something was wrong because emails weren't signed with DKIM anymore.

I got the DKIM-mods fixed already in exim.conf, but don't know what I might be still 'missing' now in the config.
Oh well, no big deal (I think).

DKIM and SPF has helped getting emails actually delivered properly for some users.

Although I'm seeing some mail TLS-errors about the CN name not matching the mail-sender domainname.
Don't if this is related to the exim.conf getting overwritten, but I've reviewed and renewed the Cert files and added a "mail."-subdomain to a few san_config-files.

I'll check again tomorrow if the errors are still there.
