Hi,

I'm having some trouble with exim since yesterday (and it's my fault i think :()). I can't receive any more mails for any of my accounts in directadmin. yesterday i tried to figger out why the forwarders didn't work (only to addresses on the server) and in this search i have updated the domains file in /etc/virtual/. To my knowledge that's the only file that was changed.
Question : Can someone send me an original 'domains' file (if not empty) ? How can i get my mails working again ? Just restarting the exim service won't do the trick.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,
thanks for your answer. I've rebuild the domains file and it looks fine but after restarting the exim service no mails are processed yet.
I also checked the domainowners file. Everything is in there.

If i send a test email from thunderbird on my computer to a mailbox configured on the server, i can see the mail arriving in the log file of exim (mainlog) so it has to receive something. The mail is just not delivered to the mailbox.

Any more ideas ?
thx

There's an exim command you can run which will emulate sending an email and show you exactly how it goes through your exim.conf file. I don't remember what it's called, so I'll let you search :).

Perhaps if you can see the exim.conf line that's causing it to fail you'll be able to figure it out.
