In order to minimize brute force attempts and server resources, I want to disable unnecessary services from running.
DNS is being handled by Cloudflare, transaction emails by AWS, and email accounts by Google.
I want to permanently disable Exim, Dovecot, and DNS on the DirectAdmin server. Are there any unforeseen problems that I should be aware of?
I can manually disable Exim and Dovecot from within the Services section of the DA control panel. Is there a better way to permanently disable these services?
And is it safe to disable Named if Cloudflare is handling my DNS?
Running the latest CentOS 7.
Thanks in advance.
