by default if a message is not delivered, it can stay in queue for up to 7 days or longer

Does anyone know what the config is so that if a message is in queue say 3 days and its run and again fails delivery, to discard it?

I believe that by default it's five days. That's the Internet default as well, if I recall correctly.

Note however, that exiqgrep isn't included in the DA installation of Exim; perhaps we can ask DA staff to include it in the future; it's part of the source.
