Hi,

Last couple of days I got an warning mail from DirectAdmin, telling me to check a certain user because it send over 1000 mails. So I checked /var/log/exim/mainlog and noticed that over 850 mails had this failure:

Note: I change the username and the hostname

Code:
2014-05-09 08:32:38 1WieMI-0007r6-33 <= <> R=1WieMI-0007r5-2u U=mail P=local S=1236 T="Mail failure - no recipient addresses" from <> for [email protected]
2014-05-09 08:32:38 1WieMI-0007r6-73 => username <[email protected]> F=<> R=localuser T=local_delivery S=1345
2014-05-09 08:32:38 1WieMI-0007r6-73 Completed

I noticed that this mail is sent by user "mail" and has no from address.

What can be the issue here? Can somebody point to me the right direction, because I'm kinda lost now...

Kind regards, John

Those are Mail failuer e-mails and are normal to be send via user mail.

Is your server replyting to [email protected] about another email and he is just sayng "not valid mail", so problably you have something messed up or your hostname match a domain into directadmin...

Regards
