Hi,

Since the new database page was released, we are experiencing issues on the server where an external database server is configured. The external database server is no longer automatically added to new databases.

This is causing problems, including with Installatron installations, and is very inconvenient. How can I automatically add the IP address of the external database server as access_host to new databases? Thanks for your help.

@xyntanl, please make sure you have access_host=... entry (or multiple entries) configured in the /usr/local/directadmin/conf/mysql.conf file. It is a list of IPs which are automatically added as allowed access hosts when new user accounts are created on the remote DB. If the list is empty default is to only add localhost which is not ok for remote databases.

More details in remote database setup guide step 7.
