External MySQL Server

Hi guys,

ive a question that should be useful to know for someone else i think

I know hot to setup DA to use an external Server but.. my question is.. Can multpile DA Server use just 1 MySQL Server? Does DA make a own database where store something that should have conflict with other DA installation?

Da does not use mysql at all. It is only used for end users. Yes you can use an external mysql server. There are guides on help.directadmin.com how to setup da to use external mysql server.

yes i know how to setup and use external mysql, i was just curios to know if was able to use 1mysql server for multiple directadmin hostied servers.

yes, it is possible. But you have to remember one thing: if you create same directadmin logins on two servers, they will share same databases.
So use different logins and you can use one MySQL server on a few directadmin servers.

hehe i know but is not a big problem, i use just one admin account for domain and that should be an advantage cause i can move ftp between server without change config
