Externel mailserver / welcome mail

hey

i added a user and would like to use a external mailserver.

allright, everything has been set fine in the DNS on the DA server.

But when i send the welcome message, i don't recieve it..

not on the local machine and not on the external mailserver

does anyone know what it could be ?
 
1. Make sure your domain resolves!
2. Go to statistics, check that email address is valid!

1. the domain is working properly, only the DA server has troubles
2. yes the e-mail adres is valid ([email protected])
 
Try to use the DA's SMTP server to send an email in something like Outlook Express!

Just figure out if it's the problem of the SMTP server.:)
 
ensure your hostname resolves, and you do not have your hostname setup as a domain in DA.

so it isn't possible to add a domain in DA and use a externel mailserver for the same domain?

Because the address where the mail must go to is the same as the domain

Yes, it is possible, you simply modify the MX record for the domain.

i allready thought that and did it .... but nothing

Have you configured the second (mail) server to accept mail for that domain / user?

everything is working

the DA server is just brand new and is configured with a domain to test it.

but the domain itself is working fine and all ready for a few months on other servers

so i would like to test the DA Server, but now i get the problem that the e-mail doesnt recieve
 
Hello,

User Panel -> Email -> MX Records -> Uncheck "Local Mailserver" since you are using an external one.
