Admin's and resellers can do userbackups via FTP.
Problem is that for FTP, only an IP can be given.

I use the backup function to backup some useraccounts to my NAS at home, but there I've got a dynamic ip address so have to change that several times a year.

Ofcourse there are other possibility's like a cronjob etc.

But since this is already present in the DA menustructure, isn't it possible to adjust it a little bit so that you can given in either ip or hostname for the FTP server that should be used for the backup?
This would also benefit when backupping to other ftp servers, because you rather know the hostname then the ip address and you don't have to look it up.

So the suggestion is to change ip to ip/hostname option. Or 2 seperate options where you can choose to use the ip or the hostname.

That's odd.
I tested this some versions ago, and I could put in a hostname there, but it didn't work at the moment that it should work.
Maybe I did something wrong, I will try again and come back in this thread with the results.

However, even when it works, just for clarity, it would be nice to change ip to ip/host.

I'm sorry guys.

I just remembered that my try was with the cpanel server and there it was not possible to use a hostname, strange enough.
Since I've seen only "IP" in DA, I concluded without testing, that it would be the same with DA and hostname would not be possible.

However, in DA it's no problem.

Still. I would like to keep the suggestion to change the IP text to IP/HOST to avoid confusion in the future.
