Please see the screenshot that I've uploaded as an attachment to this post.
It was taken with no file loaded in the file editor, yet even so, the editing box has expanded to beyond the edges of the screen.
If you compare this with the behavior of the log view, you will see a much nicer implementation of the text box. Would it be possible to have it like that in your next build?
This is an issue for me in IE7, FF2 & FF3 (others not tested).
