File manager problems

Gday guys,

i just have a little problem.
in the file manager i have a file called XTC!read this
every time i try 2 edit it or copy it or rename it i get this error:

Inavlid path. Path's must also begin with a forward slash (/)

i realy need 2 open this file as this file contains infomation i need n the publisher is away on holidays for 2 months and i cannot contact him.

Have you tried accessing it through FTP yet?

yes i have tryed 2 access my ftp server but i cant seem 2 connect 2 it

im pretty new at this web hosting stuff

Do you own a DirectAdmin server?

If not, then perhaps you should be discussing this with your hosting company, as inevitably they'll be the ones who can help you.

What is the path of the file?

Are you clicking on the file, or typing in the path somewhere?
