File permission changing problem in FileManager

Hi,

I am unable to change the permission of my files in filemanager, What s wrong with it, There is not a Tick enabled so i check or uncheck it.

Am i missing something or is it a problem with DA?

I see my filed and i want to change permission from file manager, But the tick is disabled? How may i corrdct this thiung, Cpanel doesnt gave this problem.

Is it your server? If so, you should shell into it, and post the output of ls -al for the files you can't change.

If not you should contact your hosting company.

Files are owned by root, FileManager can only reset ownership when the files are owned by apache. Do this in ssh:

chown -R haryanajan:haryanajan /home/haryanajan/domains/[B]domain[/B]/public_html

Change domain to your domain name.

And next time don't setup your domain as the root user .

Hi, Thanks for the help

I havent set the domain as root.

I created a reseller and then set the domain in that reseller account.

How may I change the default setting that domains not to be set as root users.

By default my all domains show this same problem.

Oops yeah maybe this problem happenned because i moved the files from other host and extracted the domain's files as a root user.
