File Recovery

Hi,

A friend of mine wanted me to make him a script to automate some of DA's functions using your api, and set me up a reseller with DirectAdmin to test this on. I was in ~urlguy/test where I had my script files. As a test I made and deleted subdomains all the time, which was a part of the script.

Then I accidently deleted /test where I was working and had my files! So all my scripts etc lost.. I had been working 10+ hours with those!!

Anyone know ANY way to recover these files?

How I deleted them was 'delete subdomain and all the folders contents'.

Unfortunately, there's no "recylce bin" in linux... files deleted are gone forever unless you send the drive out to a major data recovery center for full sweeping. Charges for data recovery are likely to be VERY steep however.

Hello,

If you use file system ext2 and you are not create files after delete you have a little chance to recovery your files. Look this :

It's almost similar of function "undelete" into ms-dos. But it's more complicated.
