ok, I have to questions, I hope this is the right place to post these.

First i wanna know if there is a way to make it so you can edit any file or add more filetypes to edit in the filemanager?

second, I changed vm-pop3d to xinetd because i dont want it binding to all ips, and thats the only way i could think of to bind it to specific ips, but now da emails me telling me its down how do i get it to stop monitoring for that service?

Thanks

I think the filemanager settings are hard coded so additional file extensions for file manager would need to be confirmed by John or Mark.

To stop monitoring:

/usr/local/directadmin/data/admin/services.status

vm-pop3d=ON

chnage to

vm-pop3d=OFF

I then advise you to use software such as SIM (in the how-to section or use the link in the checklist (link in sig)) to monitor xinetd

Hello,

I should probably creteate a filetypes file for editing, but for now, just let me know what extensions you want added.

Also, I just realized that if you want a file to be editable, you can also just change it's mime.types setting in the /etc/mime.types file.

Just make the type start with text/ and it will show up as editable in the FileManager.
