forbidden

I have had no end of trouble with my web page, I uploaded it the the Public directory as requested, but it wouldnt work, so I deleted it with the intention of trying again, now it says

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access / on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I'm not sure this is any help to your problem, but if you want to see the files (when you don't have and index.htm /.php) then you could place a file ".htaccess" in your /public_html/ folder with (at least):

Options +Indexes
IndexOptions +FancyIndexing +FoldersFirst


in it. This means anyone can see the files in that folder.

Sounds like you have something else bugging, you but if I'm wrong this might help
