At :2222/evo/user/ssl/paste i can tick to force redirection to a HTTPS, but is it wise? What if certificate fails renewal for some reason and I do not notice on-time? Vast majority of a web browsers would warn all users that my site is not safe (this would likely happen even without redirect).
Anyone knows why the redirect option is not ticked by default?

Per my knowledge I can not setup .htaccess redirect http to https only if https works. So possibly better to use DirectAdmin redirect, ideally if it is smart enough to work only if SSL cert. works.

I don't know what is the difference. If you do not have a redirect, the same warning will be issued when using http by browsers nowadays. Especially if there was a certificate present before.

Probably because that is still from older days. But might be also because not everybody wants https on their site.
Might be it will be ticked in the future by default.
