Form Mail Plugin For DA?

Hello,Im about to purchase a few new servers and I had one question before i went with DA over CP.

I have some other servers with Vdeck and Cpanel and they have a Form Mail plugin that clients can use to set up email forms very easily.

Does DirectAdmin have a plugin that is similiar?

Email form as in a user visits the website, fills in the information clicks submit and it emails the information to whoever?

If so not at this time, but it would probably be pretty simple to set it up now that DA has the plugin system, then all your users could install it with a couple of clicks.
 
Yes,thats what I am talking about.

I have found it to be much easier for them to go into the admin and set up a form,then just plug the html form code into their pages when needed. Contact forms,surveys.etc.

Ill hold off on DA until they release something like this. Thanks alot for your help. Im looking forward to using DA very soon.

Actuall they already have a product that will do this. It's called Contact Form check out they installatron guys at Installatron.com

I've had users install FormMail even the newest version and spammers have exploited the script to send out millions of spam in the 24 hours it took for me to notice what was going on. So FormMail is questionable to use on a modern day system.
 
I wouldn't hold off on DA just because of that. They will probably not add this function since there's the plugin system so 3rd party developers can do them and maintain them.
 
Try posting something in the employment opportunities forum or in the 3rd paty forum with a little of what you want and someone may get around to it :cool:

I found the FormMail plugin at the Installatron website. I just got to check with my host and see if their DA has Installatron included or not.

I don't know which version of FormMail you were using, but there is a secure version, written by well-known anti-spammer Ronald F. Guilmette, of monkeys.com.

We've been using it for several years, and it not only doesn't allow spamming, it notifies you when someone tries, so you can block their IP#.

You can find it at the nobaloney.net download site, here.

If not, try to talk them into it; it's got a lot of great software included.

However, if you can't, then you can install the version of FormMail.pl I wrote about in another post to this thread; you can find it here.

OK I'll look into that if I ever want to go back to the old form mail. For me it has no use. There are plenty of better scripts that are more convenient for me to use.
 
well good news.I got the server today with DA! This very helpful community of people you have here is what sold me :)
This will be my first experience outside of reseller hosting so im certain ill be needing help while i learn. take care everyone and cya around
